Crunchy Oat Biscuits

Preparation:

175g self raising flour

75g Quaker Oats

175g sugar

1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

175g butter

2 tablespoons golden syrup

Add to basket

Heat oven to gas no 4 

Mix together the flour, oats, sugar, bicarb and baking powder. 

Melt butter and golden syrup together and stir into dry ingredients. 

Chill mixture for 30 minutes. 

Shape into 2cm balls and put onto a greased baking tray. 

Cook in oven for 13 – 15 minutes. 

Remove from the oven and leave for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
