Kendal Biscuits

Preparation:

Cooking: 10 mins

110g butter

110g sugar

80 g self raising flour

80 g Quaker Oats

1 dessert spoon golden syrup

50 g dark chocolate drops

½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 teaspoon warm water

A few drops of vanilla extract

 

Add to basket
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 1700C/3300F/Gas mark 3
  2. Cream butter and sugar together. Then beat in syrup.
  3. Add bicarbonate of soda, vanilla extract and warm water and stir in. Then mix in flour, Quaker Oats and chocolate drops.
  4. Roll into small balls and flatten slightly. Place onto 2 baking trays leaving room as they will spread.
  5. Place in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes. Ready when golden brown. Place biscuits on rack to cool.
