Low sugar gingery oaties

Preparation:

Cooking:

100g / 4 oz SR flour

100g / 4 oz Quaker oats

One teaspoonful ground ginger

Sugar substitute equivalent to 100g / 4 oz caster sugar

55g / 2oz Margarine

One large egg

One tablespoon Golden syrup / Black treacle or a mixture of both

Two tablespoons milk

Handful of flaked almonds 

Add to basket

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Rub in margarine.

Add syrup, milk and beaten egg and mix to a paste.

Place teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and put two or three flaked almonds on each oatie.

Makes approximately 20 oaties.

 

Bake at 350f / 180c (fan oven 325f / 170c) for 20 minutes.
