Ginger Oaties

Preparation:

Cooking:

  • 350g Quaker Oats
  • 3 level teaspoons of ground ginger
  • 175g butter
  • 175g light soft brown sugar
  • 3 level tablespoons syrup

Icing

  • 65g butter
  • 3 level tablespoons of syrup
  • 175g icing sugar
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of ground ginger
Add to basket

Oatie – Melt butter and syrup. Stir into dry ingredients and spread mixture into a deep Swiss roll sized tin. Bake at 170 or gas 5 for 20 – 30 minutes until golden. Allow to cool.

Icing – Melt butter and syrup. Add icing sugar and ginger and allow to firm slightly before spreading over the oatie. Cut into fingers when cool.
