Oat Macaroons

1 ¼ cup plain flour (sifted)
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
3 Cups Quaker Oats
1 cup Stork or soft butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup raisins or chopped nuts or dates
Add to basket
1. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in the Quaker oats.

2. Beat the Stork (or margarine), sugar, eggs, and vanilla together thoroughly. Stir in well the Quaker oats mixture, nuts or raisins. 

3. Drop by spoonful onto a greased baking sheet. Press flat with a fork, keeping the round shape. 

4. Bake in a moderate oven for 12-15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
