Ingredients

  • Quaker rolled oats 380g
  • Coconut 10g
  • Sunflower seeds 130g
  • Wheat germ 115g
  • Sesame seeds 3g
  • Peanuts or chopped walnuts 125g
  • Brown sugar 105g
  • Oil (coconut oil) 112g
  • Cinnamon 1 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
  2. Mix together coconut, Quaker oats, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, sesame seeds and nuts in a large bowl.
  3. Combine brown sugar, oil and cinnamon, and bring to a boil. Pour the mixture over dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  4. Spread on 2 greased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake granola around 30 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Watch closely at the end, not allowing granola to become too dark.
  7. Allow to cool undisturbed, then break into chunks.
